EcoHort Policies

High ethical standards, integrity and accountability, and compliance with the law and legislative obligations, are elements fundamental to Ecohort’s core business principles.

Ecohort strives to deliver the highest quality services on-time at competitive prices, using best practice industry methods. Our Quality Assurance Management System is a set of industry recognized standards and guidelines by which our contractural responsibilities are measured and monitored. Ecohort management is responsible for assuring the quality policy is understood, implemented, and maintained at all levels. This is accomplished through one-on-one and/or group training of all employees.

Similarly, Ecohort’s Work Health and Safety, and Rehabilitation Policy, is based on a belief that the well-being of people employed at work, or people affected by our work, is a major priority and must be considered during all work performed on our behalf. People are our most important asset and their health and safety is our greatest responsibility. The public is also given equal priority to that of our employees.

The objectives of our Safety Policy are:

  • To achieve an accident free workplace
  • To make health and safety an integral part of every managerial and supervisory position
  • To ensure health and safety is considered in all planning and work activities
  • To involve our employees in the decision making processes through regular communication, consultation and training
  • To provide a continuous program of education and learning to ensure that our employees work in the safest possible manner
  • To identify and control all potential hazards in the workplace though hazard identification and risk analysis
  • To ensure all potential accident/incidents are controlled and prevented
  • To provide effective injury management and rehabilitation for all employees

Ecohort also recognises the strategic importance of an environment policy for enhancing the quality and standard of Ecohort activities and for providing leadership in the restoration sector, which is of major concern to both Ecohort and the wider community. Consequently, Ecohort aims to ensure that the overall protection and improvement of the quality of the environment is a prime consideration in all of its contracting, consultancy and operational activities.

Ecohort has demonstrated its commitment to environmental responsibility by including this responsibility in its company plans and the formulation and implementation of this policy. This policy statement provides the focus for addressing environmental objectives, procedures, action plans and evaluation, and setting up a process that integrates environmental responsibility in all aspects of Ecohort’s work.

The Ecohort Environmental Management Plan is based on and complies with the NSW Environmental Protection Authority Model EMP: Environmental Management Plan for Landscaping works.
